friday loves - vol. 1

THIS ARTICLE: because, well, just because. i needed this and i know it'll be necessary again in the future! this is something i struggle with sometimes.

MARYLAND ROCKS and i'm determined to start loving my state more. usually, when people ask if i'm from here - i quickly shout no! although, i have lived here for almost 20 years now. i may not be crazy about where i live, but reading articles/blogs/posts about my state makes me appreciate it a little more!

it's been a while since i did a friday loves post! well, lets face it, it's been a while since i did a real post at all! 

so - here's a few things i'm lovin' this week!

i follow amy on her blog and instagram. i saw a picture of her and another blogger going to stroller strides and it struck my interest! she blogged about it here. i looked into starting a franchise in our area but don't exactly have $5000 to give away. if i knew it would take off here, i would do it but i don't exactly think this area would appreciate it much. i might start something similar - and free - with just my mama friends though! rogue poag rides ;) haha


abby's blog post about another blogger. i am totally thinking of giving up shampoo now. i think i could, for reals. 

TRUE BLOOD is back <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 

we enrolled kullen in preschool this week. he will start in october. 4 days a week for 2hrs a day. he is, well seems, really excited about it. as are we! :)

i have been busy planning parties this week. kullen's birthday party is next saturday and the saturday after that is mandee's baby shower. although party planning can be a tad stressful - the outcome is so worth it. i am looking forward to sharing all the details of both parties! 

but i do have a kullen's 3rd birthday board as well as a ronin shower board if you're interested! :)

uhm, LBL's nursery reveal. seriously, i am totes jealous of that baby already! can't wait for a 'birth story' post!

my cousin (well, my cousins cousin, hehe) posted THIS on her blog. she is so stinkin' crafty! i am SO glad/thankful that she posted this tutorial considering for rhys' birthday, i am doing a 'little man' theme. these bow ties will be the perfect addition to my planning! thanks jen!!

yesterday, the 25th, was our five year wedding anniversary.

i'm actually kicking myself for not posting something about it

but it was a really busy day yesterday! 

these five years haven't always been easy 

but we made it and i look forward to many more with him. <3

we were planning on celebrating this weekend 

but now with a darn hurricane coming, our plans might get postponed! hmph!

where we heard our little rhys' heartbeat

and found out he's head down and in position

that we might be getting a little hurrrrricane-like weather

that will cause me to be INSIDE all weekend

working on rhys' room and crocheting lovely things! 

BUT

i'm REALLY lovin that our 'acting' boss

just came and said we could leave early!

so, on that note -

well first, i'm lovin that it's friday!

i worked another full week this week - so this mama is tiiiiired!

[yeah, it's a big accomplishment when i work full weeks so the fact that i've worked two full weeks, in a row, is HUGE!]

i'm already contemplating taking monday off though .. ha!

she is taking english, math and art appreciation! 

she also applied for a job at the college bookstore which would be perfect

luckily - she does already have a job

week recap and friday loves!

this week has been SUPER busy! i have literally had plans every.single.night! 

we went on our hospital tour monday evening!

as if i wasn't anxious enough

being in the hospital and l&d made it even more real!

i am loving that i only have [roughly] 5 weeks left of this pregnancy

and until i can squeeze my little baby rhys face! :)

tuesday - i had an eye appt and left with only a slightly worse 'script

that, i am lovin!

and that i will be getting 2 new pair of glasses!

brown and purple :)

of course, my current black frames are still decent so they will still be used

wednesday evening, we had maternity pictures done. 

oh. my. gosh.

i have only seen a few but i am in love.

jessica is seriously amazing. 

i cannot find words to even describe, haha!

too bad you all aren't in the MD area and can get her to take your pictures! ;]

and thursday, i had a baby appointment!  :)

i love hearing his little heartbeat every 2 weeks!

& everything is going great.

my doctor is trying to urge me to get an epidural, haha! it makes me laugh!

before i left, i scheduled the last of my appointments! only 4 more to go! EK!

a little later that evening

i went over to my friends house for a little girl talk! 

we made [and indulged] in lots of food and drink :)

it was nice to be among girls and have adult conversations 

without the most terrible of two year olds screaming at me every two seconds! ;]

[just kidding: i missed him for real!]

so that was my week recap and thing's i hearted about each day!

he is from my [sorta] hometown of bristol, ct

he played pop warner football with my cousin, dane. 

we [kNa along w/ family] have seen him play during his high school days

on the FREEZING COLD annual central vs eastern thanksgiving day game!

i'm looking forward to seeing him play this year versus the horrible redskins.

anyway - they whooped some tail last night against the jaguars!

preseason doesn't count but hopefully it's a sign of whats to come!

jessi really got me into crochet and will also be selling her adorable hats 

so i have decided to feature my coin purses/camera cases, blankets and hair accessories!

and feature diaper covers with matching hats - but we shall see!

but it's all coming together!

i even threw this cutie together last night to place on a shelf for decor

i want the house to smell CLEAN!

but i am slowly chipping away at it! 

bigeye will be the apple of MY eye soon enough ;)

along with nesting - little mister has dropped a smidge!

i have noticed that i can breathe a little easier

and don't tire out as much when talking

plus, the melon belly seems a little lower than normal

this makes me happy! :)

little bigger mister has slept in his own bed all week long!

this is HUGE!

i have had to go in there each night but i'll take laying with him for half hour or so

in exchange for my side of the bed back! 

last night was also a big night for us/him

he went to sleep with NO NINNY!

all week long, he hasn't slept with it IN his mouth

but he has held it while going to sleep

last night - we didn't offer it to him. he cried for it a bit 

but we told him that he was a big boy and ninny's were only for babies!

this morning, i sent him to the sitters without a ninny!

i hope he's doing well :) 

now we just have to find all the randoms laying around the house

and dispose, quickly!
