the zoo

a few weeks ago  ... me, heather and michele packed up the kids in the car and headed up to the DC Zoo. the kids had a blast with each other and checking out the animals! us mama's were EXHAUSTED after walking up hill all dang day - but it was well worth it :)

both boys loved their baskets!
we had a great time. went to the MIL's for dinner. had a big easter egg hunt and kullen kicked butt, even found THE golden egg! 

 note to self: next year, take a family picture earlier in the day!

and then ... cousin thomas and grandma spun kullen on this swing for like 20 minutes.

and THEN ... he threw up his easter dinner.

quick trip to CT

my dad turned 50 on friday. [4.20]

i knew i wouldn't be able to go up for the weekend

so i packed the kids up early tuesday morning

and made the seven hour trek up there.

when my dad came home for lunch, there we were!

i think he was pretty surprised & happy - even though he had to go back to work :(

we were able to spend a few days with him and the fam.

and it was great! 

sad we had to leave :(
