December 3: Moment.
Pick one moment during which you felt most alive this year. Describe it in vivid detail (texture, smells, voices, noises, colors).
this promt was hard for me. there were so many moments in 2010 to choose from. but the one i chose was june 19th. my sons first birthday. i can remember that day like it was just yesterday.
we had spend the evening before baking and decorating his cake, disaster!
the morning of we took him to mygym and they sang him happy birthday during circle time :) after my gym, we went back home and i laid him down for a nap before his big party. we continued to get everything ready. i remember the mail came and the photobook [from shutterfly] came in and i was absolutely in love with it. while kullen was napping, my cousin came by and dropped a cooler off and we tiptoed upstairs to peek on the sleeping baby.
he, of course, woke up ;]
we finished getting ready and packed both mine and adam's car up and drove to his party site! it was hot Hot HOT! i was so anxious for everyone to arrive and enjoy kullen's day with him. it was so hot that mostly everyone was miserable and our hard worked-on cake totally melted :[
everyone loved on kullen and made his special day all about him and the love they had for him. we brought all his presents home and let him play with them but he was pretty exhausted from the days events that he fell asleep early! but not before cuddling with us and papa goob!
that day made me feel alive because i had been a mother for an entire year. that day especially made it hard for me to remember what life was like before him. he continues to make me feel alive everyday ♥
