December 6: Make

What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it?

i'm going to cheat on this one. technically, i make something every day. whether it's my coffee in the morning or dinner in the evenings and lets face it, nobody really cares about THAT!!

so the last thing i made was a beanie hat for olivia. [kullen's babysitter stephanie's daughter] i had made one a while back for her other daughter gianna and decided to make liv a matching one so her and her baby sister could be beanie twins :)

i used black and hot pink yarn with a 5.0mm crochet hook. the beanies were black with one fairly large [about 4-5rows] of hot pink through the middle. i thought they were perfect for these girls as they are my little rockstar girls :)

there is PLENTY that i want to make and need to clear time for! i'm currently working on a CAPS beanie for myself [red with white and blue stripes]. i'm even thinking of purchasing an iron-on or sew-on patch to complete the beanie but i'll cross that bridge when i get there!
i also need to clear some time to finish the apron that i started. i just need to sew it all together, should only take a few minutes. i want to have this completed before christmas so i can wear it christmas day!
i also need to clear time to make the owls for my staircase. i brought the cut-out pattern to work today to enlarge because i wanted my owls to be a little larger. i need to pick up some felt for the eyes and nose but already have the stuffing and material.
i'm hoping to get all these done THIS weekend! [as well as cookie baking, christmas dinner planning, present wrapping and cleaning!]
