December 7: Community
Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011?
easy! i have discovered a community right here in blogland! it's amazing how many women [and men] live right here in blogland that i would never have the chance to meet otherwise. we come from all over the world and connect through writing and sharing stories of our lives and most of the time end up meeting some really amazing people.
i'd like to continue to grow and meet more bloggers, like myself, this year. i really want to get involved in message boards too, specifically the TTC ones. i want to talk to other women who are going through the same things as me and learn from their experiences. i think it will help me to better know myself and realize that i'm not the only one who struggles with certain issues.
i would also like to create a mommy&me group in 2011. i want to start it locally in my area so that moms can come together and let the kids play and interact with one another on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. and hey, that also means girl-talk time for us mommies. i have an extensive amount of friends who are young mothers, like myself, and i think starting a mommy&me group would be beneficial to us all.
using blogland and message boards we could probably extend further and meet other moms in our area that we do not know [military spouses, for example].
i really hope to get this off the ground in the new year, as well as become a more active member in blogland and on TTC message boards!
